Cutting-edge solutions for DAB
Gsertel: Cutting-edge equipment to monitor and measure DAB/DAB+ signals, ensuring optimal service quality
An increasing number of countries are investing in establishing DAB digital radio networks, due to the saturation of the FM band.
To expand the offering, DAB/DAB+ is implemented, operating in the 174-230MHz band, thus avoiding interference with the FM band. This deployment is particularly beneficial for those living outside major cities. DAB digital radio offers higher sound quality as a digital signal, being more resistant to noise and interference.
To fully harness the benefits of DAB, maintaining signal quality is crucial at both headends and transmission points, as well as address reception issues.
Gsertel offers cutting-edge products for these tasks: RCS DAB/DAB+ and Hexylon.
The RCS DAB/DAB+ probe performs 24x7 proactive monitoring over RF, EDI and ETI inputs simultaneously, automatically detecting any anomaly in the signal, taking into account the quality criteria and measures appropriate to each user. Quick identification and resolution of any anomalies directly contribute to maintaining a stable, high-quality transmission. Our DAB probe has exclusive functions such as powerful spectral analysis or ETI signal streaming or recording capabilities, which make it a perfect solution for headend monitoring, broadcast sites or field locations.
Hexylon is a multi-standard portable TV and radio analyzer that performs comprehensive DAB signal analysis, including measurements, echoes and constellation analysis, and other relevant information such as transmitter ID. Its powerful PRS+Null Symbol function is essential for interference detection. The SFN Drift measurement is a fundamental tool for determining the synchronization status of the network. While to detect coverage problems, it has complete Drive Test functionality. Additionally, Hexylon has the ability to make EDI recordings and play them back.
